Visa

Students who want to study in China for less than 6 months (more than 1 month) can get an F visa. This visa can be applied for by submitting form JW201 or JW202 and the Admission Notice, to the Chinese embassy or consulate in the foreigner's country. The F visa duration of validity begins when the foreigner enters China. It may be extended, at most, three months at a time, up to a total allowable stay of one year. The longest allowable extension extends to fifteen days after completion of study.

Students can obtain F Visa through following procedures:

  1. Receive admission notice & Jw202 form (Visa Application for Study in China) from admission office.
  2. Apply for an F visa at the local Chinese Embassy with the admission notice, jw202 form and other necessary documents.

Regarding Lost Passports

 

Overseas students who lose their passports during their stay in China should complete the following procedures: 

    1. Report loss to the local public security bureau where the passport was lost

    2. Report loss to the Entry and Exit Visa Administrative Office of the Xiamen Public Security Bureau and pick up certificate of passport loss

    3. Go to your respective embassy to apply for a new passport

    4. Proceed to the Entry and Exit Visa Administrative Office of the Xiamen Public Security Bureau to conduct visa and residence permit procedures.
